I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. I graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas in May 2012. Upon graduation from SMU, I began my teaching career in Dallas and have taught first grade ever since. I now live back home in Denver, and love spending my time outdoors.
After discovering I had Celiac Disease in college, I became fascinated with food. I love learning how to properly nourish my body and enjoy spending time in the kitchen when I’m home from school!
I graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in March 2014 and where I studied over 100 dietary theories. I am a certified Holistic Health Coach and a member of the AADP. Shortly thereafter, I launched my first business, “Gluten-Free G.” I guided those recently diagnosed with a gluten intolerance. Soon after launching my business, I broke my wrist, got diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, tore my ACL, and finally (and most significantly) I was diagnosed with Lyme disease.
It was clear that after all of these health issues, I needed to take a break from my GFG Health Coaching Business and focus on myself. In the fall of 2014, I put my business on hold.
I’ve spent the last few years learning how to take care of myself, maintain balance, and slow down amongst my autoimmune disease. It took some “bad” things happening to me to learn what I know now, but I am grateful for my journey!
In reality, it is all only grace, and my experiences led me to this new and better place of launching Whole Body Healing. I am thrilled to guide those through the complexities of autoimmune disease.
I still battle my autoimmunity, but it is something I’ve learned to accept and live happily with. I hope to coach you through whatever issues you are facing too!
